It's always tea-time
Over three years Joanne developed the afternoon tea product at The Royal Horseguards Hotel from scratch, including menu design, staff training, PR campaigns, product collateral, tea selection, and food development.
In 2011 the hotel was accepted as a member of the UK tea Guild and subsequently was awarded the 2012 & 2013 award of excellence and the hotel benefited from an increase of £500,000 revenue per year from this initiative.
Over the years since, Joanne has honed her skills and appreciation of afternoon tea and has produced ta pastries for over 300 guests per day at London's oldest hotel; Browns in Mayfair, as well as bringing her imaginative flair to events and promotions of bespoke themed afternoon teas at the Epsom Derby and other high profile National events.
Currently Joanne is the Head Judge of the U.K. Afternoon Tea Awards, where she manages the team of 12 judges and coordinates the tasting and judging of over 60 of the country's most prestigious hotel and restaurant's afternoon tea offerings.
